Description

The VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with Imaging One LLC for Zero Gravity RPS Ceiling Mounting Units. This requirement will include the following characteristics: Product Description Three (3) Zero Gravity Radiation Protection Ceiling Mounted Shields manufactured by CFI Medical for the existing Cath Labs at the VHA Boston Healthcare System, West Roxbury Campus. These are lead shields to protect clinicians from radiation during clinical procedures during Cath cases. Acquisition will include 3 boxes of sterile, disposable Z-Gravity Drapes, and installation of equipment. Salient Characteristics Zero Gravity Lead Apron provides 1.0 mm lead equivalence, TWICE that of a standard lead apron Optional Face & Head shield offers an additional.5mm lead equivalence where previously none was provided Eliminates the need for a standard lead apron A suspended frame provides total support to the Zero Gravity Apron, and Face & Head shield, freeing the user from any apron weight. Comfortable, customizable harness lends back support while providing easy engagement and disengagement with the Zero Gravity Cost-effective, sterile drape encapsulates the Zero Gravity Apron allowing user to easily enter and exit the system while maintaining the sterile field This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than January 20, 2012 at 12:00 P.M. ET. Responses should be sent to teresa.cutty@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
