DESCRIPTION: This acquisition includes the purchase of a code and part number item where E.A. Patten (05819) and United Technologies (52661) are the approved manufacturers. The intent is to award an indefinite quantity type contract for a one year base and four option years. Patten (05819): P/N 4084787-01; United Technologies (52661): P/N 4084787-01 Destination Information: VARIOUS DLA STOCKING LOCATIONS The proposed contract is unrestricted with other than full and open competition per 10.U.S.C.2304(c)(1) Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. The requirement will result in an award of an Indefinite Quantity Contract for which delivery orders may be placed for one (1) year. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on or about January 26, 2012, at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp. The delivery for this acquisition will be on an FOB Destination basis with Inspection and Acceptance at Origin. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, and past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
