Description
The Enterprise Sourcing Group, Systems and Modular Industry Day Draft Agenda This is a notice to inform industry that the Air Force will be issuing a draft Request for Proposals (draft RFP) for the Enterprise Sourcing Group, Systems and Modular Furniture acquisition. The draft RFP is currently scheduled for release by 20 January, 2012. The Air Force will be conducting a Systems and Modular Furniture Industry Day on 7 February, 2012. This event will be held at the Hope Hotel and Richard C. Holbrooke Conference Center, Building 823, Area A, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH 45433. The Enterprise Sourcing Group (ESG) is the Air Force's primary organization responsible for enterprise-wide installation strategic sourcing. This acquisition is the primary responsibility of the ESG's Furnishings Commodity Council (FCC), an ESG sourcing team chartered with strategic sourcing Air Force furnishings requirements. The purpose of this Industry Day event is to educate potential bidders on the Systems and Modular acquisition, its strategic sourcing strategy as well as provide an in-depth overview of the draft RFP. The future Systems and Modular strategic sourcing contracts are anticipated to have a period of performance not to exceed five years, with a projected value of $280M during that time. This Systems and Modular acquisition will be an Air Force-wide initiative, mandated for use by all Continental United States (CONUS) Air Force procurement offices. A key component of the acquisition strategy centers on an approach that mutually incorporates manufacturers as well as their respective dealerships, allowing for the greatest level of participation by industry while achieving desired strategic sourcing results. Therefore, active involvement from both manufacturers and dealers is imperative to the success of this Air Force acquisition. An Industry Day Draft Agenda will be attached to this announcement, detailing other topics that will be covered during the event. We urge all interested Systems and Modular firms to attend Industry Day as it will offer valuable insight into this acquisition opportunity and provide a forum to ask any questions. An Industry Day slide deck will be posted on FedBizOpps (FBO) in the coming weeks. The FCC will not be providing hardcopy material during Industry Day. If participants would like a hardcopy of the presentation, we ask that they print it prior to arriving at the Hope Hotel. The Industry Day presentation will be displayed during the event. All participants must register for Industry Day by 1 February, 2012, using the link provided below: https://einvitations.afit.edu/EnterpriseSourcingGroupESG/anim.cfm
