- Estimated issue date February 10, 2012 and estimated closing/response date March 12, 2012 PR#: FD2030-12-70630 RFP#: SPRTA1-12-R-0170 Nomenclature/Noun: Pressurized Altimeter used on the Common Aircraft, NSN 6685-00-725-9117RK. AMC: 1T History: F34601-01-M-0267-P00001 awarded on May 8, 2001 for a quantity of 20 to Kearflex Engineering Company Inc. The estimated unit price is $19,770.01. L/I 0001 - The quantity is 18. Mandatory Language: Note: Item Description: Length 2.3850 (IN), Height 2.3750 (IN), Width 2.3850 (IN), Weight.6000 (LB). Item Function: Self contained aneroid instrument designed specifically for use in a pressurized compartment of an aircraft to provide an indication of pressure in feet of altitude. Material: Aluminum case and bezel with a static pressure connection and cover glass. Currently Kearflex Engineering Company (Cage 26136) and Aerosonic Corporation (Cage 98810) are the only known sources that can satisfy the Government requirements. Acquisition of this part is controlled by QPL procedures. Competition for this part is limited to sources which are listed on or are qualified for listing on the QPL at the time of award. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms(s) listed: Kearflex Engineering Company (Cage 26136) and Aerosonic Corporation (Cage 98810). An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government Personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposal or in the source selection process.
