Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price, sole source purchase order, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), to Leupold & Stevens, Inc., 14400 NW Greenbrier Parkway, Beverton, Oregon 97006-5791 for the purchase of spare parts to support the Heavy Day Optics (HDO) procured on contract M67854-11-P-1004. The Heavy Day Optic is produced by Leopold & Stevens, Inc., the sole manufacturer and distributor of the HDO and associated parts. The spare parts must be compatible in all aspects (form, fit, and function) with the existing HDO, manufactured by Leopold & Stevens, Inc. The Government does not own or have the technical data package or rights to allow competition for this acquisition. The estimated cost is approximately $92,705.02. The NAICS code is 333314, Optical Instrument and Lenses Manufacturing. See the attached list for the spare parts to be procured. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the government will consider responses to this notice within ten days of this posting. Interested parties shall respond to the Contracting Office within ten days of this posting, by 2:00 PM EST, to Sarah Lewellen at Sarah.J.Lewellen@usmc.mil, and copy to John Young, Jr. at john.e.young2@usmc.mil. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone calls will not be honored.
