- The United States Coast Guard Surfaces Forces Logistics Command intends to issue a Commercial Request for Proposal (RFP) for DOCKSIDE Repairs to the USCGC MORRO BAY. The acquisition will be solicited as a TOTAL SMALL Business Set-Aside. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The acquisition will be issued as a Best Value, Request for Proposal (RFP), on or about FEBRUARY 7, 2012. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for RFP release and all subsequent amendments. The acquisition is for DOCKSIDE REPAIRS of the USCGC MORRO BAY (WTGB 106). The USCGC MORRO BAY (WTGB 106) homeport is the New London, CT. GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTIONS: The cutter’s homeport (pierside), 49 Mohegan Ave, New London, CT;. Anticipated start date on or about 15 MAY 2012 through 19 June 2012. The scope of the acquisition is to:(1) Tanks (Potable Water), Clean and Inspect, (2) SW Heat Exchangers, Clean, Inspect and Hydro, (3) Main Diesel Engine (MDE) Exhaust Stack Uptakes, Clean, (4) Boiler Exhaust Stack Uptakes, Commercial Clean, (5) Compressed Air Receiver, Clean, Inspect and Test, (6) Boat Boom, Level 2 Inspect and Repair, (7) sewage Vacuum Collection Tanks, Clean and Inspect, (8) Sewage Piping, Clean and Flush, (9) Temporary Services, Provide (10) Watertight Doors and Scuttles (External) Renew. (11) Deck Covering (Interior Wet/Dry) Renew, (12) Tanks (MP Fuel Services) Clean, (13) Tanks (MP Fuel Stowage and Overflow) Clean, (14) Deck Covering (Wet/Dry) Seal, (15) MDE and MM Coolers, Clean, Inspect and Hydro (16) Ladder Foundation, Renew, (17) Pilot House Deck Weather deck Drains and Piping, Renew, (18) Anchor Windlass, Inspect and Repair, (19) Water tight Bulkhead Repair (20) Paint Locker Deck Repair (21) 0 2 level Deck Repair, (22) Fuel manifold, Overhaul, (23) Vacuum Sewage Collection Tank Flushing Nozzle Connection, Repair and (24) Shaft Seal Vent Line Modification.. All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures.
