- Description
- The U.S. Department of State, American Embassy in Bogota, Colombia, is seeking qualified offerors for airport apron pavement repair and surface treatment at the Colombian National Police aviation school, located in Mariquita, Tolima, Colombia. The project entails the repair of the existing apron (16,750 square meters) in asphaltic bituminous heavy-duty pavement and coal-tar slurry seal. Additionally, the project includes the surface treatment of the existing shoulders of the apron and two taxiways (6,000 square meters). The solicitation is planned for release on FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) around mid to late February. It is anticipated that construction will start as soon as possible after contract award, with a performance period of approximately 120 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed for Construction to substantial completion. The resulting contract type will be firm fixed-price, and the estimated value of construction is between $275,000.00 and $425,000.00 USD. The solicitation will be unrestricted to allow U.S. and non U.S. firms to participate in the selection process. Obtaining the solicitation: The solicitation, including drawings and specifications, will be available for download from FedBizOpps - website: http://www.fbo.gov. The solicitation, as well as all other associated documents for this project, will not be issued on CD unless there are technical difficulties that cannot be promptly corrected on the FedBizOpps website. All notifications of changes to this solicitation will be made through the Internet only. It is the responsibility of prospective offerors to check for any posted changes to the solicitation. NO solicitation documents will be mailed, faxed or emailed to prospective offerors. Proposals will be accepted from both U.S. and non U.S. firms; all correspondence will be written in English.
