Description
Clean Waste Containment, Transportation, & Disposal; Temecula, CA: The USGS Nevada Water Science Center, Henderson, NV, requires the containment, transportation, and disposal of clean solid wastes and the transportation and disposal of clean liquid wastes from two sites in Riverside County, CA where the USGS will be drilling well sites. The task will include delivery of bins for solid waste containment, capabilities to vacuum liquid waste from a baker tank, the transportation and disposal of all clean waste in accordance with all applicable regulations. RFQ 12PS00127 will be posted on or about 27 January 2012 and made available to all interested vendors. The total estimated weight from the drilling sites is 60 tons of solid waste total (30 tons per site) and 80 tons of liquid waste total (40 tons per site). All quotes received will be quoted by the ton. The waste generated will not be contaminated or considered hazardous. The solid phase is composed of moist clays, silts, sands, and gravels. The liquid component will be sediment laden bentonite clay drill mud. The liquids will need to be vacuumed from the bins or USGS mud mixer and transported for disposal. The vendor must be able to provide services with 48 hr. notice. Multiple trips per site for both vacuum truck and bin pickup may be needed. Locations and maps to drill sites are in the Temecula, CA area. Site 1 is in Temecula Creek Trail Park at the southeast intersection of Butterfield Stage Rd and Temecula Creek. Site 2 is near the intersection of Redhawk Pkwy and Via Rio Temecula on southeast side where Redhawk Pkwy intersects Temecula Creek. Period of performance should begin early April 2012. Duration of work at each site will be approximately 40 days. No Government owned property will be provided to the vendor.
