- Description
- On August 8, 2007, the Federal Prison Industries (FPI) Board of Directors approved a request by FPI to manufacture steel doors and frames for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). At their January 12, 2012 meeting, the Board reviewed and considered additional material which led them to direct FPI to no longer compete for steel doors and frames solicitations from DHS. This notice announces FPI will relinquish production of steel doors and frames for DHS. Interested parties have a right to comment or raise questions with FPI's Board of Directors. All written correspondence should be addressed to: Chief, Marketing, Research, and Corporate Support Branch, Federal Prison Industries, Inc., 320 First Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20534.
