Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Denver Regional Office, has a requirement for a AUTOMATED CYCLIC DIRECT SAMPLE SHEAR SYSTEM. Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) is a water management agency with 600 dams in the 17 western states. We are known best for construction of dams, power plants, and canals, including Hoover Dam on the Colorado River, Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia River, and Folsom Dam on the American River. Reclamation is the largest wholesaler of water in the country and second largest producer of hydroelectric power in the western US. This requirement will be solicited and awarded in accordance with the Acquisition of Commercial Items, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12. This procurement will be advertised as a total small business set-aside using best value procedures. The NAICS code for this project is 333131 and the size standard is 500 employees. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database located at http://www.ccr.gov, and must complete electronic representations and certifications on the ORCA database located at http://orca.bpn.gov to be considered responsive. All responsible sources may submit a quote for consideration. Deliver of the system is required no later than 60 days after contract award. The Government intends to award a firm fixed-price contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offorer whose proposal will be most advantageous to the Government based on the evaluation factors listed in the solicitation. This pre-solicitation notice does not constitute a solicitation. The solicitation will be posted to this website for downloading on or about January 31, 2012 and will provide all necessary information for proposals to be prepared and submitted for consideration. Offorer's shall monitor the website www.fbo.gov for the solicitation. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued and telephone requests or fax requests for the solicitation will not be accepted. Proposals will be accepted electronically or in hard copy format no later than the date specified in the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. All questions related to the solicitation must be submitted in writing to Joel Bartholomew at jbartholomew@usbr.gov. Only written requests will be considered and addressed.
