- This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY; no proposals are requested at this time. No draft Request for Proposals (RFP) or Statement of Work (SOW) will be available prior to release of the solicitation. Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) has a requirement for Marine Corps Tactical Welding Shop (MCTWS) 289 systems on trailers. The MCTWS program has been initiated to integrate, produce, and deploy an improved tactical welding system on a trailer that will satisfy the requirements outlined in the Statement of Need for the Replacement for the Marine Corps Tactical Weld. This is a self-contained welding shop and includes the tools, machinery, consumables, compressed air, electrical powered lights, and hand tools required to perform a variety of welding missions. It provides SMAW (Stick), FCAW (Fluxcore), GTAW (TIG), Aluminum Welding, Plasma Cutting, Armor Cutting, and (Oxy/Acy) Cutting Capability. One or more firm fixed-price contracts with one base year and four options years may be awarded. The contract will not exceed $45 million. This procurement will be conducted as a total small business set aside. The NAICS code is 333992. Awards will be made using Best Value/ Trade-Off approach. Technically acceptable requirements will be set forth in the RFP. The Government intends to release RFP No. M67854-11-R-5119 on or near February 21, 2012 via the internet at the Navy Electronic Commerce Online NECO) website at http://www.neco.navy.mil and the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The online version of the RFP will include all documents of the solicitation package. No hard copy of the RFP is available at this time. Amendments, if any, will be posted at the same location as the RFP. The complete RFP package, including amendments, should be downloaded and reviewed prior to submitting a response. ALL COMMUNICATION SHALL BE MADE VIA E-MAIL WITH THE CONTRACTING OFFICE.
