- Draft GAARV SRD The purpose of this presolicitation notice is for contractors to provide their capabilities for the upcoming acquisition of Guardian Angel Air Rescue Vehicle (GAARV.) The government anticipates issuing a solicitation on approximately 16 March 2012 for a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for approximately 60+ vehicles. Please provide responses via e-mail to presolicitation by 6 March 2012. Please indicate the size of contractor's business. The GAARV will be employed for Personnel Recovery (PR) operations in all geographic areas of operations while providing increased payload, speed, range, and durability, which will increase the survivability of both the Isolated Personnel (IP) and Rescue Team (RT.) This presolicitation notice is not a contract nor a guarantee of a contract. The government will not reimburse contractors for preparation time for information or for information provided.
