Description

Furnish design and construction services for Replacement of Cable System, Project 621-10-110 located at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home, TN. This design/build project will replace the cable system and bedside controllers throughout patient rooms and waiting areas in Buildings 160,, 162, 200, 204, 205, 77 and 69. This project will replace existing system with a new modern system that takes advantage of technology advancements and consolidates the distribution of the system into distribution closets. The proposed project will change the coax system to a homerun type wiring strategy from satellite room C233 to feed multiple distribution closets located throughout the hospital complex, and buildings 160 and 162. Room A006 will operate as the main distribution closet. A single award Firm Fixed Price Contract will be issued. The cost range for this project is between $100K and $250K. The NAICS Code is 238210 and the size standard is $14.0. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE TO SMALL BUSINESS CONTRACTORS. To be eligible for award you must be registered in the following websites: www.ccr.gov; https://orca.bpn.gov. CCR must reflect a small business size certification for the NAICS code noted herein. Only one pre-bid site visit will be conducted. Pre Bid Site Visit will be on February 29 2:00 PM EDT at Building 200, Engineering. Bond information: A 20% Bid bond must be submitted with bid. Performance bond and payment bond will be required within 10 days following contract award. The solicitation will be posted on or about February 22, 2012 at the Federal Business Opportunities (Fedbizopps) website www.fedbizopps.gov Paper solicitations will not be issued. Contractors must obtain solicitation, drawings, and amendments (if issued) from this website. Bidders are reminded they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to the solicitation. All questions are required by March 12, 2012 to allow adequate time to address all questions through amendment for all to see. Bids are due no later than 2 pm CT on March 30, 2012 at the Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 9 Network Contracting Office, 1639 Medical Center Parkway, 4th Floor Room 418, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129. Award is subject to the availability of funds. CONTRACTORS MUST SUBMIT JOINT VENTURE AGREEMENTS WITH THEIR BID. CONTRACTORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SUBMIT MORE THAN THREE BIDS IN A TWO YEAR PERIOD UNDER THE NAME OF THEIR JOINT VENTURE.
