- NOTICE OF DECISION TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE-SOURCE:The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA); Aircraft Certification Services (AIR), proposes to acquire by single source acquisition, training for Weibull/Log-normal Workshops and SuperSMITH Software for FAA employees who will be conducting analysis in support of the Monitor Safety Analyze Data (MSAD) process. The FAA, Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award to Fulton Findings of Torrance, CA for the required services. This procurement is considered to be single-source based on the need to standardize on this service and the proprietary nature of the software. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.
