Description
Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peter's VA Medical Center is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of performing the work under this project consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for cleaning and inspection of the interior and exterior and disinfection of the interior of one (1) 300,000-gallon elevated water storage tank located at the Northport VAMC 79 Middleville Road Northport, NY 11768. Contractor shall perform a comprehensive interior inspection of the tank in accordance with AWWA M42 Manual of Water Supply Practices "Steel Water-Storage Tanks" as applicable. All equipment introduced into the water shall be dedicated for potable water use only and must be disinfected in accordance with AWWA C652 Section 5 standard and local codes. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, insurance, training and certifications to complete the proposed work. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 237110. Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing (email or fax) and must be received not later than February 23, 2012 at 4pm. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. This notice is for information only. Solicitation pricing will be available on www.FedBid.com only and will start immediately after the close of this request for information which is scheduled to end on February 23 at 4pm Eastern Time. ***Question Submission: Interested offerors must submit any questions concerning the solicitation at the earliest time possible to enable the Buyer to respond. Questions must be submitted by email only to Nefertiti.McDonald@va.gov *** For this solicitation, VHA VISN 03 - 526 NCO - Bronx intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. VHA VISN 03 - 526 NCO - Bronx is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids. All responsible offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make a bid on www.FedBid.com.Offerors that are not currently registered to use www.FedBid.com should proceed to www.FedBid.com to complete their free registration.
