- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis to conduct market research for developing a procurement strategy for an upcoming construction contract at the Spokane VA Medical Center located in Spokane, WA. Magnitude of construction project is less than $25,000.00. Depending upon the responses in the small business categories (e.g. service-disabled veteran-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, certified 8(a), small business, women-owned small business, small disadvantaged business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone (Hubzone) small business) the solicitation will either be set aside in one of the small business categories or be issued as unrestricted open to both small and large business. The NAICS code for this procurement will be 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors and the small business standard is $14 million. This announcement is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for competitive bids/proposals. This announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Department of Veterans Affairs. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. All interested contractor's who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit responses, via e-mail, to the attention of Chad Santone, Contract Specialist, by email at chad.santone@va.gov. No telephone calls will be accepted. Responses to the Sources Sought Synopsis should be received as soon as possible but no later than 3:00 PM (Pacific Time) on February 20, 2012. Project Summary: Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment and perform all work required to relocate the lab terminal station of an existing Pevco Accusend Pneumatic tube system from room A208 to room A209 at the Spokane VA Medical Center located in Spokane Washington. Vendors shall be Pevco authorized installers to perform work and are required to provide evidence of such to be considered. Project Location: Spokane VA Medical Center, 4815 N. Assembly St, Spokane, WA 99205. To be considered an interested contractor the following information shall be included in your response and/or narrative: 1.Company name, address, DUNS number, and point of contact with his/her phone number and email address. Firm's responding to this Sources Sought notification shall be authorized Pevco installers and so evidence of such. 2.Socio-Economic Category. Business size to include any official teaming arrangements as a partnership or joint venture (e.g. certified 8(a), small business, women-owned small business, small disadvantaged business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, or veteran-owned small business). 3.If service-disabled veteran-owned small business or veteran-owned small businesses indicate if listed in the VIP database available at http://www.VetBiz.gov. 4.Provide project references. 5.Project references shall include: a.Details of similar projects and state whether you were the Prime or Subcontractor: Required, at a minimum, three (3) projects completed within the last ten (10) years that are relevant to the work that will be required under this project b.Dates construction services performed c.Project reference (including contact information for owner which should include current phone number and email address for each project listed) d.Project cost, term and complexity of job 6.If you are responding to this notice from outside the geographic location of the work, please provide a narrative detailing how you would perform the work on this project and submit an offer at a fair and reasonable price to the Government. NOTE: Information provided will be held in strict confidence. Comments will be shared with the Government and project management team. The government will not reimburse responders for any cost associated with providing information in response to this announcement.
