Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A SOLICITTION FOR COMPEITIVE PROPOSALS. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The National Institutes of Health, (NIH), intends to negotiate with East West, Inc, 2815 Hartland Road, Suite 100, Falls Church, VA 22043, on a sole source basis in accordance with 41 U.S.C. (c) (1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. The NIH intends to modify the existing contract HHSN26320050001I to provide funds to extend the contract for up to a period of two months. This extension remains with the present scope of work, which is to provide Janitorial Services to NIH Bethesda Campus, Building 10. Building 10 is the world's largest hospital devoted exclusively to clinical investigation and requires a high level of technical excellence. This sole source award is to prevent a lapse in service because of an on-going protest. It is imperative that the Government maintain a reliable source for this service. The Closing date will be 5 days from the date of publication.
