Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with BYTWARE, 5190 Neil Road, Suite 305; Reno, NV 89502, for maintenance on Stand Guard Anti-Virus Software. This software is proprietary and BYTWARE has an exclusive right and does not authorize resellers or other entities to maintain Stand Guard Anti-Virus software. The Stand Guard Anti-Virus protects all Disability Determination Service (DDS) AS400 (iSeries) computers located throughout the country. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If SSA does not identify any other acceptable sources capable of providing this requirement, SSA may issue a sole source award to BYTWARE under the authority of FAR Part 13.106(b)(1). The government will not pay for any information submitted and responses to this notice must be submitted in writing via email to Rick.Bolt@ssa.gov no later than February 21, 2012 at 3:00 pm EST.
