- Description
- The Chattahoochee National Forest is soliciting for contractors able to provide a broad range of road program activities including road maintenance, culvert replacement, gravel placement, pavement repair, hazard & obstruction removal (including storm damage cleanup), slide repair, road decommissioning, equipment rental with operator, road reconditioning with rented loader-mounted rock crusher and other road related service work. This solicitation will result in the award of multiple indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity task order contracts with one base period and four option years that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government. Each task order will list the specific roads and activity items. The guaranteed minimum amount for each awarded contract, inclusive of the base and all option periods, will be $3,000. Each awarded contract shall not exceed $1,000,000 over the base period and four option years. Offerors will be evaluated on 1) experience in road maintenance activities on gravel-surfaced forest or county roads in southeastern mountain areas, 2) ability to blade and shape gravel roads to consistently maintain the road template and achieve the desired drainage standards, and 3) past performance on similar contracts. All work sites will be located within the administrative boundaries of the Chattahoochee National Forest as follows: Conasauga Ranger District, Chatsworth GA area Blue Ridge Ranger District, Blairsville GA area Chattooga River Ranger District, Lakemont GA area OTHER INFORMATION: A pre-bid conference is scheduled tentatively for 10:00am March 22, 2012 at the Forest Supervisor's Office in Gainesville GA.
