- This is a Sources Sought Notice; there is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will receive no response. This Sources Sought Notice is published for market research purposes only. This Sources Sought Notice is conducted to identify potential sources capable of meeting the requirements described below. The Wilkes Barre Veterans Affairs Medical Center (WBVAMC) located at 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes Barre, PA 18711 requires on-site radiation physicist services. Required services include assisting Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) in the conduct of the institution's Radiation Safety, Quality Management and ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) programs, preparing records and reports in accordance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the National Health Physics Program (NHPP), providing telephone support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, performing dose calibration evaluations, inspecting equipment, attending on-site Radiation Safety Committee meetings, reviewing radiopharmaceutical therapies to ensure NHPP compliance, assisting in preparation of radiation safety plan, and providing on-site training annually and as needed. It is intended that the contract period will include a one base year and four one-year option periods. The applicable NAICS Code is 541990 and the size standard is $7.0M. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice nor will it reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does this issuance restrict the Government's acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to reject in whole or part any industry input as a result of this announcement. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be a part of this effort. If so, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/non-proprietary information. If the Government decides to award a contract for this or related effort, a solicitation will be published and posted on the FedBizOpps website.
