Description
The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. This requirement is for a firm fixed price contract with four option years for the manufacture of the Back Plate Assembly. NSN: 1005-01-288-1652; P/N: 88388105; FUNCTION: Controls the recoil of the breech bolt assembly and contains the gun's trigger; One First Article and a quantity 2 ea. are required for the basic ordering period. MIN/MAX for all option years is 1 ea. to 3 ea. Delivery of First Article is 120 Days ARO contract with production articles due 90 Days ARO approval of First Article. All items are to be delivered to Robins AFB Ga. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 09 MAR 2012 with an approximate response date of 09 APR 2012. Solicitation will be available for viewing or downloading from www.FedBizOpps.gov website only. All questions regarding the RFQ must be submitted in writing to Valerie.Clark@robins.af.mil. NO TELEPHONIC QUESTIONS. OMBUDSMAN : All potential offeror(s) should contact the buyer and/or PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If the contracting officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
