- Map Lift Station Diagram Solicitation W912PQ12R0017 The Contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, and supervision to install a lift station, a manhole and approximately 565 feet of associated 6 inch SDR piping associated with the septic system near bldg 11. The existing line will be plugged and abandoned in place. The lift station and its functions must remain in service during the entire period of performance of this contract. To accomplish this, the Contractor shall provide temporary sewage pumps and bypass waste as necessary to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the lift station and its functions. The new lift station must be a duplex system with 2 reciprocating ½ hp pumps wired with 3 phase 208 Volt with a Std. NEMA 3R Control Panel. The basin depth will be 96" with a 60" diameter. A valve box will be included with the system along with a hinged aluminum cover and an additional vent. The soil at the base has shale located at a various depths and should be considered when making a responsible bid. There are also 2 paved areas, approximately 100ft, that will have to be sawcut and re-paved while placing the 6 inch piping. The Contractor will be responsible for the repair or replacement of any damages to Air Force property that they inflict. It is highly recommended that the Contractor attend a pre-arranged site visit prior to submitting a bid. The attached map marks the existing sewage line and proposed manhole location. The attached lift station diagram is a basis for design. The site visit will be held on March 6, 2012 at 10:00am. See page 32 of the solicitation for details.
