Description
SUBJECT ANNOUNCEMENT IS AMENDED TO READ: CASES ONLY...NO FOAM INSERTS. DELIVERY SCHEDULE IS CHANGED FROM 30 DAYS TO 45 DAYS AFTER RECEIPT OF AWARD. As per notes of NAWCAD drawing 3218AS791 rev: A The case design shall be capable of meeting the following environment requirements during handling, storage and transportation for ten years. Temperature: -40 degrees F to 140 degrees F Humidity: 0 % to 100 % Across Temperature Range Altitude 0 to 1500 Feet The Case shall be White in Accordance with FED-STD-595 Color Number 17925 The Case shall include at least 2 hinged handles with sufficient internal clearance to allow a block 44mm By 107 mm with edge rounded to 24mm radius to pass through them. The grip portion shall be nonmetallic at least 89mm long with a 19 mm diameter. Handles shall stop open at 90 degrees and return by a spring loaded mechanism when not in use. Handles should be recessed. Each handle should be designed to hold a load of 145 lbs in all above listed environmental conditions. The case shall have a pressure equalizing valve. This should not protrude beyond the enclosure. The cracking pressure shall be 0.5 PSIG vacuum and 0.5 PSIG pressure non-adjustable. All case materials shall not contain any substance that provides nutrients for the growth of fungus. All metals shall be corrosion-resistant steel or aluminum alloy in accordance with QQ-A-250/11. All non metallic materials shall use ultraviolet inhibitors to prevent environmental degradation. CLOSING DATE IS EXTENDED TO 07 MARCH 2012.
