- This acquisition is for a firm fixed price contract under Other than Full and Open Competition utilizing 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and 10 USC 2304(c)(2). Material being procured under NSN 2510-01-549-4721, Body, Van, Semi-trailer, quantity of eight each, sole source to Kalyn-Siebert (63576), P/N 655340, and no technical data is available for the evaluation of alternate offers. Requirement is a customer direct requisition and therefore, no option may be included in this acquisition. Solicitation was issued 10-January-2012 and closed 13-January-2012. Under 10 USC 2304(c)(2) Urgency and based upon the results of the market research which revealed this item is inherently military and has only been sold to the US Military, solicitation was issued to Kalyn-Siebert the sole OEM for this NSN. By posting solicitation to FedBizOps, competition was attempted.
