- NASA/DFRC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for the Repairof Flightline Access Roads and Access Ramps, Phase 2 at the NASA/Dryden Flight ResearchCenter, Edwards AFB, CA.The site work consists essentially of, but is not limited to replacing deterioratedconcrete aprons at B4801 and B4826 with new concrete to match existing site layout.Asphalt paved parking lots and taxiways, where indicated near B4840 and the A.G.E.Equipment Yard, will be replaced with new asphalt pavement and striping. Existing asphaltcurbs will be replaced with new asphalt berms, where indicated.The contract is structured as base bid work and two (2) options. The base bid workincludes replacing deteriorated concrete aprons at B4801 and B4826 with new concrete tomatch exiting site layout. Existing asphalt curbs will be replaced with new asphaltberms, where indicated. Option 1 work includes replacing asphalt paved parking lots andtaxiways, where indicated near B4840, with new asphalt pavement and striping. Option 2work includes replacing asphalt paved parking lots and taxiways, where indicated near theA.G.E. Equipment Yard, will be replaced with new asphalt pavement striping. The Order ofMagnitude for the procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. North AmericanIndustrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this acquisition is 237310with a small business size standard of $33.5 Million dollars in average annual receipts. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Dryden Flight Research Center(DFRC)is seeking capability statements from all interested parties, including Small,Small Disadvantaged (SDB), 8(a), Woman-owned (WOSB), Veteran Owned (VOSB), ServiceDisabled Veteran Owned (SD-VOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone)businesses, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)/MinorityInstitutions (MI) for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competitionand/or small business subcontracting goals for the Repair of Flightline Access Roads andAccess Ramps, Phase 2 at the NASA/Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards AFB, CA. TheGovernment reserves the right to consider a Small, 8(a), Woman-owned (WOSB), ServiceDisabled Veteran (SD-VOSB), or HUBZone business set-aside based on responses hereto.No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If asolicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA AcquisitionInternet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these sitesfor the release of any solicitation or synopsis.Vendors having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements areinvited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references.This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as acommitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited.
