- The Marine Corps Logistics Command Contracts Department (Code S1924) intends to solicit for and award a firm-fixed contract on a Sole-Source basis to Kidde Technologies INC. Goleta, CA., for the requirement described below. No other product is acceptable due to unique features and function of the items. The Government physically does not have in its possession sufficient data, or the rights to same data, for the manufacture of this requirement. Any source interested may contact the person(s) indicated to be considered for award. No solicitation will be posted on this website for the requirement. (1) National Stock Number(s) - None assigned CLIN 0001: Automatic Fire Extinguishing System (AFES), (1 Each), Total QTY: (110 Each) (2) Specifications “ Custom designed to fit the M9 Armored Combat Eartmovers (ACE) and provide a fire supression / extinguishing system for the war fighters. Kidde Aerospace & Defense holds sole authority for use and application of the Automatic Fire Extinguishing Suppression System (AFES) that will be used on the M9ACE Vehicles. Because of their exclusive testing and proven ability for fire supression /extinguishing capabilities MARCORSYSCOM, and US Navy SPAWAR has already granted them access to other vehicles and approval of this system, we are limited to Kidde Aerospace compatible system there are no other systems available at this time that meet or exceed the Statement of Requirements. Kidde Aerospace & Defense has the original design intent, original engineering drawings, material and manufacturing processes required to produce, test and provide the system.. Some of this privately developed data along with the corporate expertise are the sole property of Kidde Aerospace & Defense Technologies. (3) Manufacturer “ Kidde Technologies Inc.. (CAGE 05BU0) (4) Destination - Maintenance Center, Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, GA 31704 (5) Award Procedures - The Government anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed Price contract.
