- A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, Woman Owned Small Business or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for production of new IENC cells for waterways being added into the USACE portfolio of charts using new source material and continually maintaining a provided suite of IENC cells through the application of new source materials supplied by USACE and from USCG publications, in monthly intervals. The new, revised or updated cells shall be compliant with IHO S-57, IHO S-100 and Inland ENC specifications and USACE encoding rules, as outlined in the task orders. Contract duration is estimated at 5 (five) Years from date of award. The estimated cost range is $700,000 per year. NAICS is 518210. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, Woman Owned Small Business or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email no later than 12 March 2012 at 2:00PM EST. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) Descriptions of Experience - a. Previously produced Inland Electronic Navigational Charts (IENCs) should show that they are compliant with IHO S-57 standards and/or Inland ENC 2.2 Product Specifications. b. IENCs produced to IHO S-57 standards should meet IHO S-58 validation checks. (3)Provide the following: a. A sample IENC exchange set produced to IHO-S-57 or Inland ENC 2.2 Product Specifications. b. A list of the number of charts previously produced and/or maintained on a continuing basis. (4) A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished. Please only include a narrative of the requested information; additional information will not be reviewed.
