Description
The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting quotes from firms having the capability to provide the services listed below. This solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at https://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Prospective bidders desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. No other notifications will be sent.Issue Date: On or about March 19, 2012Closing Date: 2:00 pm April 18, 2012Solicitation Number: P12PS22333Title of Requirement: Replace Heat Exchanger Tube AssembliesDescription: Hot Springs National Park located in Hot Springs, AR has a thermal water cooling station. Its main function is to cool a certain portion of the thermal water, thereby allowing the supply of hot and cooled thermal water to bathhouses and concessions. The heat exchangers are a pair of large radiator cores mounted on steel frame towers with fan forced cooling air through the system. The radiators were made by Young Radiator Company, Racine, Wisconsin. Model No. HC1212, Serial No. YM5803, Order 1-12820. Contractors are to replace existing air cooled heat exchanger tube assemblies in two air cooled heat exchangers. Tube assemblies will be mounted on existing framework. The current radiator core uses inhibited admiralty (brass) tubes with aluminum fins. Each radiator is approximately 157' long x 152' wide. Each radiator consists of 2 - 72' x 144' cores. The rods are approximately 144' long. In addition to replacing the tube assemblies the contractor shall provide two spare fan motors and 10 spare end cover gaskets. Type of Procurement: A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation.Estimated Date of Performance: 90 calendar days after receipt of award.Set-Aside: This requirement is set-aside for Small BusinessesNAICS Code: 811310Size Standard: $7.0MAll interested vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Registration and Certification Application (ORCA) websites to be considered.
