AMENDMENT NOTICE:This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.The solicitation number is N0018912TG047 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-56. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333912 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees.This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2012-03-15 11:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be Groton, CT 06349 The FLC Norfolk - Groton requires the following items, Purchase Description Determined by Line Item, to the following: LI 001, AIR COMPRESSOR The compressor shall be a single-acting two ?stage air-cooled reciprocating type; it shall be 480 volts 3 phase power pressure lubricated air compressor mounted on a 240 gallon horizontal receiver. Foot print to be no bigger than 90 inches long by 35 feet wide to be mounted on existing pad. Supplying a minimum of 86.85CFM at 175 PSIG at each pump. NO BID WILL BE CONSIDERED WITHOUT DFARS 252.225-7000 AND DFARS 252.209-7999 CERTIFIED AND ATTACHED WITH QUOTE., 1, EA; LI 002, AIR DRYER 220 volts single phase. High inlet temperature refrigerated dryer. At full capacity on one compressor to provide a positive 40 pressure dew point at up to 125 CFM. It should have a dryer pre-filter and an after filter both with automatic drains.NO BID WILL BE CONSIDERED WITHOUT DFARS 252.225-7000 AND DFARS 252.209-7999 CERTIFIED AND ATTACHED WITH QUOTE., 1, EA; LI 003, INSTALLATION - Remove existing Atlas Copco GA55 air compressor and dryer. Removing all oil and refrigerant properly and disposing of the compressor and dryer. - Disconnect and cut back conduit and wiring to existing electrical power for air compressor and install a temporary feed to existing rental compressor and dryer, disconnect and connect new compressor and dryer once installed. - Both units to be completely installed and piped to existing system. US Navy to only provide the 480 volts 3 phase power to an electrical disconnect and the 220 volt power to a disconnect. All connections to be made by contractor and to present code. US Navy to provide forklift assistance with removal and install not to exceed 6,000 pounds and be in a safe lift configuration. This work is to be done in the NRMD Building all personnel must attend necessary RADCON training before entering the building.
