- The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Central Iowa Health Care System, Des Moines, Iowa intends to award to Midwest Ambulance Service for emergent and lie down ambulance services for a one year base period plus (4) 12 month option periods. This award is in compliance with Public law 109-461 and the Veterans Affairs Supplement to the Federal Acquisition Regulation VAAR 819.7008 "Sole Source awards to veteran-owned small business concerns." A Justification for Other than Full and Open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621910; with a small business size standard of $7 million.
