- Arcata Associates, Inc. has a requirement for two (2) each mini trunk system, mfgp/n F01U147903, one (1) each interconnect panel, mfg p/n F01U118735, one (1) each switchover panel, mfg p/n F01U118728, two (2) each cronus back card, mfg p/n F01U117978, andone (1) each rack mount audio test set w/trunk, mfg p/n F01U148389. Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to purchase the items from Bosch Security Systems Teles/RTS, 12000 Portland Avenue South, Burnsville, MN. The currentintercom system is utilizing proprietary hardware and software. To attempt to have adifferent supplier provide the needed hardware/software to link the intercom wouldrequire extensive engineering and time costing far more than the specified equipment.The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing via email to dfrc-dl-arcata-procurement@mail.nasa.gov to the identifiedpoint of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local time on March 29, 2012. Suchcapabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determiningwhether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination bythe Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis,based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
