- Workers' Compensation Nurse Case Manager Support ServicesSolicitation Number: R12PS80043Announcement Type: Pre-solicitation Announcement The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), located at the Denver Federal Center, 6th and Kipling, Denver, CO will be soliciting proposals for Workers Compensation Nurse Case Manager Support Services. The Reclamation workforce currently numbers 5432 Full Time Employees (FTE) within the seventeen (17) Western states and Washington, D.C. However, there will be a higher number of actual employees due to part-time and temporary personnel. The dates included in this announcement are approximate and may be subject to change at the discretion of the Bureau of Reclamation. Actual dates will be established at the time the Request for Proposal is made available. The principle components of the work include the following: 1) Support the Reclamation in Management of an Estimated 700 Existing Long Term Claims and an Estimated 275 New Workers' Compensation Claims Per Year Arising From Work Activities; 2) Review an Estimated 700 Active Cases and an Additional 275 New Cases of Workers' Compensation Claims Per Year to Determine if Medical Intervention is Required and Provide Nurse and Medical Case Management Services to Ensure Appropriate Medical Treatment is Being Provided to Security Screeners and Other Employees; 3) Meet Federal E-Government Initiative Requirements; 4) Assist in Identifying Suspicious or Fraudulent Claims; 5) Track Trends and Provide Recommended Process Improvements in Operations That May Help Reduce Injuries and Associated Claims; and 6) Provide Recommendations for Accomplishing the Reclamation Goals. Evaluation criteria for award consideration, listed in descending order of importance, may include technical capability to satisfy the government need, qualifications of proposed staff, past performance on similar or comparable projects, and price. Technical capability and past performance when combined are significantly more important than cost or price. A Time-and-materials/labor hour contract with a one (1) year base plus four(4) one (1) year option periods will be awarded resulting from Request for Proposals No. R12PS40043 using procedures prescribed by FAR Parts 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and 15 - Contracting by Negotiation. The Request for Proposal (RFP) package will be available for viewing at www.FBO.gov on or about April 02, 2012. Electronic proposals are tentatively due before close of business (COB) May 02, 2012 via FedBizOpps. The estimated price range of this acquisition is $1,800,000 million to $2,500,000 million. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541612. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS code is $7 million. This acquisition will be a total small business set-aside. Contractors interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, must have an active registration, and must be registered with the NAICS code specified in this announcement.
