- The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground Natick Contracting Division has a requirement for the following items: Nikon Eclipse Ni-E Upright Research Microscope, Motorized Stage System, Optics, Fluorescence Accessories, High Resolution Color Digital Camera System and Imaging Software. U.S. Army ACC-APG NCD intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Micro Video Instruments, Inc. (MVI) of Avon MA under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Nikon Eclipse Ni-E Upright Research Microscope with above listed accessories will replace an older Nikon microscope currently in use in the imaging of proteins within individual cells in rat and mouse tissues in support of all animal-based research. The Nikon Eclipse Ni-E will allow for interfacing with the multi-spectral imaging instruments currently in use and will also allow for analysis of images captured on the current Nikon microscope allowing for continuity in the research. Micro Video Instruments, Inc. is the sole authorized Nikon dealer for the Natick MA region. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 453998. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 5999 and the Small Business Size Standard is $7.0. This is a Small Business Set-Aside.
