- The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, National Weather Service, Wilmington, NC has a requirement for all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to provide quarterly HVAC Preventative Maintenance and Emergency work as described in the Statement of Work provided with the solicitation. The order shall contain a six month base year and four optional one year periods. The period of performance for the base period is April 1, 2012 through September 30, 2012. This procurement is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220 with a small business size standard of $14 million or less. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is J041. The government intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order for this requirement utilizing simplified acquisition procedures. A mandatory Site visit is scheduled for March 22, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. Interested parties will be given a tour during which potential contractors may obtain a better understanding of the work required. Offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit to fully inform themselves about the location and conditions under which the work is to be performed. Quotes will not be accepted by vendors who do not attend the mandatory site visit. More information is contained in the solicitation. The Request for Quotations is only available on line by downloading from this site. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, ALL CONTRACTORS must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for an award of a Federal contract. For information regarding registration in CCR, contact the CCR website at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. Additionally, each offeror must obtain, and provide with the quote, their nine-digit Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) number. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Quotes are to remain effective for 30 days after close of solicitation. Contractors are encouraged to register with the FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service.
