- Description
- BACKGROUND: Project Manager (PM) Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) operates 3 (three) Blue Force Tracking Global Network Operations Centers and Satellite Ground Stations supporting DoD operations worldwide. As a part of its Cybersecurity implementation, FBCB2 has incorporated McAfee NitroSecurity Intrusion Prevention Systems, NitroReceiver Security log collectors and Nitro Enterprise Security Manager. This capability has been deployed throughout the FBCB2 enterprise to provide for security and monitoring of the network to protect, detect and react to Cybersecurity threats. TASK/REQUIREMENTS Please use the attached spreadsheet entitled 120308_NITRO_HBSS_BOM.xls for exact requirements. As part of a system wide upgrade, FBCB2 desires to replace the existing hardware devices with the like capabilities using Virtual Machine (VM) technology. In addition, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and Receiver devices that will continue service will require additional maintenance and support licenses for the next 36 months. FBCB2 has the requirement to provide for replacement of some IPS devices and Enterprise Security Managers with a VM capability and 36-month support. It should be noted that this procurement supports ongoing military activity. The Government needs to better understand what is available in industry.
