Description

During the period 1 January 2012 through 31 December 2013 ER SE Mechanical Engineering shall make available and employ its facilities, personnel, and the services of others to refine previously developed Concepts of Operations (CONOPs) for D5 motor storage at Camp Navajo, design new protype SE in support of the defined CONOPs and support demonstration of concepts and equipment at Camp Navajo. Development of new protype SE required to support this demonstration will include a new D5 FS/SS low-boy trailer. Transition Plate(s), a PAC hose adapter and a modified TS Dolly capable of inerfacing with the exisiting C4 MTP. ATK will provide an additional FS trailer demonstration option as well as a SS option which Lockheed Martin will support via an Integrated Demonstration Plan (IDP) and the generation of the draft procedures. Procurement of equipment develped under this proposal will not be completed by Lockheed Martin but an outside Government entity. The objective of this effort will be to demostrate a proof of concept for transporation, handling and storage of First Stage, Second Stage and Third Stage D5 Rocket Motors at Camp Navajo. This effort will slao include support of periodic program reviews and telecons as well as required coordination for transfer of existing D5 SE from ER to Camp Navajo in support of the demonstration.
