- A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, Woman Owned Small Business or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for the construction of approximately 2600 lineal feet of concrete - faced sheet pile I-wall with concrete cap. Construction of this I-wall includes special construction of reinforced concrete structures to span large underground utilities, and is in close proximity to overhead electrical lines, other overhead and underground utilities, and adjacent structures. Construction of segmental wall bank stabilization and conventional riprap for bank stabilization is also included. Scope also includes restoration of security fencing and disturbed asphalt paving, construction of miscellaneous drainage structures, relocation of fire hydrants, installation of guardrail, and miscellaneous other features. Contract duration is estimated at 1 year. The estimated cost range is $1-5 million. NAICS is 237990. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email by 03-26-2012. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptions of Experience - Provide descriptions of your firm's past experience, on projects where you were the Prime, with greater than 90% construction complete or those projects completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. a. Projects considered similar in scope and dollar value to this project include: sheet pile walls; concrete-faced sheet pile walls; reinforced concrete hydraulic structures; underground utility construction, rehabilitation, or repair; vertical construction in close proximity to overhead utilities; and channel bank stabilization b. Projects similar in size will include: 1000-5000 lineal feet of concrete-faced sheet pile wall; utility construction, rehabilitation including pipe diameters 36" or greater; vertical construction in close proximity to overhead utilities for 50 lineal feet or greater; reinforced concrete structures of 25-50 cubic yards c. Projects of similar dollar value will include: (give an approximate range or minimum dollar figure) $1 Million - $10 Million Based on definitions above, for each project submitted include: a.current percentage of construction complete and the date when it was or will be completed. b.scope of the project c.size of the project d.dollar value of the project: e.the portion and percentage of work that was self performed, f.whether the project was design/build or not g.Projects built within budget h.Contract duration of project submitted. (4) A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished.
