- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the acquisition of road-base rock, a commercial item, prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-56 of March 2, 2012. Quotations are being requested via this notice only. A written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is P12PS22798 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The acquisition is reserved exclusively for small business concerns. The North American Standard Industrial Classifications System Code is 212319 and the size standard is 500 employees or less. This acquisition is to furnish approximately 2,410 tons of Class II 1-1/2" Aggregate Road Base rock ("virgin material ONLY"). Delivery shall be FOB Destination via any standard truck delivery method. Delivery for 2,410 tons of Class II 1 -1/2" aggregate road base rock to be delivered at Point Reyes National Seashore, Roads and Trails Facility. Delivery location is the Roads and Trails Yard, located near NPS Park Headquarters at 1 Bear Valley Road, in Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin County, CA 94956. Date of delivery is anticipated to be May 21, 2012 through June 22, 2012; all deliveries shall be coordinated with Roads Supervisor Jeff Jewhurst at telephone number (415) 464-5158, as Park Road Crew will schedule daily activities around deliveries. INTERESTED PARTIES SHALL SUBMIT A QUOTATION BASED ON A UNIT PRICE PER TONNAGE. The Government intends to make a single fixed price purchase order award on the basis of the lowest price per tonnage. The Government reserves the right to adjust the total tonnage ordered based on availability of funding at the time of award. A breakdown of quantity discounts shall be provided with the quotation, if applicable.
