- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) to The MathWorks, Inc., 3 Apple Hill Drive, Natick, MA 01760-2098 for renewal of MATLAB maintenance software licenses. This procurement is being conducted using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The MathWorks, Inc. is the only known source capable of meeting the Government's requirements due to the unique capabilities of the software. The MathWorks, Inc. is the only manufacturer and provider of this product. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to the Contract Specialist by 12:00 PM CST, Thursday, March 22, 2012.
