- Description
- Description: This synopsis is for the Repair/Retro-Commission of Mechanical Systems on Hurlburt Field, FL. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, and equipment to perform all operations necessary to accomplish all work as shown on the drawings and specifications. The general work includes, but not limited to, Repair/Retro-Commission Mechanical Systems to include boiler replacements, hot water heater replacements, HVAC system replacements, replacement of an existing gas furnace with an infrared heating system, motor replacements, installation of a variable frequency drive (VFD), retro-commissioning existing mechanical systems and control system upgrades. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following buildings: 90028, 90145, 90809, 90743, 91259, 90402, 90325, 90210, 90742 and 91259. This acquisition may include options for similar work in additional buildings. This project will be set aside for Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (ED WOSB) offerors only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220 with a size standard of $14M. This contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 15, Negotiated Procedures. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. Performance period is 335 calendar days. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten (10) days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 02 April 2012. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. To be eligible for ED WOSB the offeror must be certified by a special agency of State Government or a national certifying entity (third party certifier), or certify to the contracting officer that it is a small business concern owned and controlled by women. Adequate documentation must be provided IAW SBA certification requirements. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
