- Solicitation for Emerging Pandemic Threats Advisor - USAID U.S. Personal Services Contractor Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks to employ a US Personal Services Contractor (PSC) who will be primarily responsible for ensuring well-coordinated and effective delivery of technical and program support across the Emerging Pandemic Threats portfolio. USAID's Emerging Pandemic Threats (EPT) program seeks to aggressively preempt or combat diseases that could spark future pandemics by supporting the development of comprehensive disease detection and response capacities, particularly in those geographic areas where disease threats are likely to emerge and spread across borders. The Advisor will also be responsible for working closely with other United States Government partners, particularly the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offices working at national levels, which also provide support for outbreak response and thus presenting a "whole of government" approach. Responses to this solicitation are due no later than 0800 Nairobi time, April 23, 2012.
