- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items forwhich the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one sourceunder the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This is a sole source requirementdue to the unique characteristics of the BMP - INFUSE GRAFT (rhBMP-2) BYMEDTRONIC CORPORATION. Interested parties may identify their interest andcapability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This noticeof intent is not for competitive proposals. However, all proposals receivedon or before the due date will be considered by the Government. Adetermination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contractbased upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of theGovernment. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether to conduct a competive procurement. This announcementconstitutes the only solicitation. A written solicitation will not beissued. The solicitation number is N00259-12-T-0710. This requirement isfor US Naval Hospital Okinawa, Japan.
