Description

The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, intends to issue a purchase order with Tognum America Inc for a training course on the 87' WPB MTU 8V396TE96 Diesel Engine. Award will be made inaccordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Tognum America Inc is the sole manufacturer and provider of the engines and there are no other companies or vendors with the certification and/or detailed knowledge of the equipment that can conduct the necessary Overhaul Training Course. The requirement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition procedures per FAR 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the government will consider all information received within two (2) calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A Determination by the Government not to compete as a result of information received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
