Description
The following is a pre-solicitation synopsis of a proposed contracting action in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.201. This is not a request for quote and no responses will be made to requests for solicitation documents. The solicitation is estimated to be issued on or about April 10, 2012 and will be posted to the Government wide Point of Entry at http://www.fbo.gov. The Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)/National Emergency Training Center (NETC) located in Emmitsburg, MD has a requirement for the disassembly, repair, and replacement of retaining walls. Description of Services: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, transportation, labor to include, but not limited to, tools, materials, and supplies, needed to disassemble, repair and replace retaining walls at the NETC, Emmitsburg, MD. The acquisition is a 100% HUBZone set aside. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract as a result of this solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238190. The Small Business size standard for this project is $14.0 million. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about April 10, 2012. The magnitude of the construction project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. All offers shall be provided as specified in the solicitation. Prospective offerors interested in submitting an offer on this solicitation must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration. Inactive registration on the CCR database will make a prospective offeror ineligible for award consideration. The website address for Central Contractor Registration is: http://www.ccr.gov NOTE: Any changes to the solicitation will be in the form of an amendment issued by the contracting officer and posted through the Governmentwide Point of Entry.
