- This is a notice of the Government's intent to solicit from, negotiate with, and authorize and approve an award of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract, on a Sole Source basis, with DELCAM USA INC. DELCAM is the sole manufacturer of the software that is required by the specific machining systems currently in use by the agency requesting this purchase. This purchase will be made under the simplified acquisition procedures and under the statutory authority for other than full and open competition 10 USC 2304(c) (1): FAR 6.302-1: only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency agreement. The applicable NAICS code is 541512 and the size standard is $25.5 million dollars. This is not a request for quotation or a solicitation for offers. No solicitation package will be available. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. The proposed FFP contract is for the procurement of the following: a)FeatureMILL3D (Includes FeatureMILL2.5D and FeatureRECOGNITION, plus 3D surface wizard for 3D surface modeling, 3D feature wizard for easy creation of 3D toolpaths, automatic ball-end tool selection, and a variety of advanced 3D gouge-free toolpath techniques supporting traditional and high speed machining. b)ArtCAM Pro - ArtCAM is specifically developed for the design and manufacture of artistic applications. Complex 3D relief modeling from 2D bitmap or vector-based artwork, plus integrated CNC toolpath calculation and STL mesh creation. Includes all the functionality in ArtCAM Insignia with further 3D modeling and machining tools, plus 3D models from other systems can be imported, edited, recreated and incorporated into designs quickly and easily. There are also specialist 3D tools for engraving, roughing, finishing and rest milling. c)ArtCAM Pro Advantage - A cost effective way to maximize benefit from your ArtCAM investment.
