- Special Notice The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) in Washington, DC awarded a sole source fixed-price one year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 6.302-1, 4, other than full and open competition procedures for the acquisition of research and development services for the Office of International Programs (IP) to support continued operations, including overseas offices funding and administration, professional support and mission related wire transfers as part of interagency agreement for international humanitarian and diplomatic assistance and environmental initiatives, until a competitive agreement is established. Due to unforeseen circumstances of unanticipated need of the current/previous contract reached its maximum in the third option year. Consequently, to ensure continued operations a one year contract shall be issued. The competitive action should be available on or before September, 2012 to allow adequate amount of time required for the necessary domestic and international agreements to complete the objectives.
