- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement for Scientific Fisheries Hydroacoustic System to be delivered to the Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center, Lacrosse WI, within 30 days upon receipt of order (ARO) or soonest possible date. The system must include (4) 200 kHz, 6 split beam digital transducers with integrated orientation sensors. Two of the transducers must be configured with integrated, dual-axis mechanical rotators with programmable motor control software, automatic aiming, and time delayed sweep/scan settings. Two, scientific echosounder surface modules must each be capable of multiplexing up to 4 transducers (of same or varying frequency) with no additional electronic components. A single echosounder control computer system is required with software for automatic data logging that can be manipulated by Ethernet remote control, for either wired or wireless operations. The control computer system must also include software capable of monitoring operational status and parameters including power, data storage capacity, transducer aiming, ping on/off. The control computer system must also provide automatic email reporting functionality that provides project managers with regular updates on system operational status. The contractor must be able to provide an entire suite of compatible analysis software for assessment of submerged vegetation, bathymetry, fish and plankton, and substrate classification for use in future and related projects. System data must be able to be compared and integrated with historic data and other source data from Biosonics DT-X, which is used by other research institutions, state governmental entities, other federal agencies and Canadian governmental agencies in the Great Lakes region.RFQ G12PS00312 will be issued on or about 03/28/2012 with written quotes due 04/14/2012.The anticipated NAICS codes for this acquisition are 423490 and 334511. The size standards are 100 and 750 employees respectively.The anticipated award date of the contract is 04/20/2012.
