- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: Marine Corps Systems Command, PM Optics anticipates issuing a RFP on or about 16 Apr 2012 with a response due date on or about 21 May 2012. This is a pre-solicitation notice only. No Proposals are being requested at this time. This will be a full and open competitive acquisition with no small business set-aside. The Government intends to award a firm fixed-price contract in accordance with FAR Part 15. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 333314. Description of services: The Grenade Launcher Sight (GLS) will provide the Marine grenadier with an improved sight that is smaller, lighter, and more reliable than the current AN/PSQ-18A sight. It will provide the grenadier with the ability to accurately and effectively engage enemy targets in day, low-light, and night conditions with an improved probability of first-round effects on target. The Marine Corps Planned procuremment quantity is 1,812 GLS ™s. The Government plans to use Federal Business Opportunities website: www.fbo.gov, as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging any information concerning this requirement. It is the offeror(s) responsibility to monitor the Internet for the release of the Final Solicitation. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) site found at http://orcabpn.gov/ and the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) under the applicable NAICS code.
