- Description
- Work at this site includes the removal of three corrugated metal pipes, one on Ten Cent Creek and two on West Ten Cent Creek culvert is approximately 48' long and has a 42" diameter. The Lower West Ten Cent Creek culvert has an approximate length of 70' and a diameter of 36". The Upper West Ten Cent Creek culvert has a length of approximately 63' and a diameter of 42". Work also includes the installation of a pre-cast open bottom box culvert on pre-cast footers at the Ten Cent Creek crossing and structural plate arches on pre-cast footers at the two West Ten Cent Creek crossings. The structures and footers will be provided by the Forest Service. Also included is stream simulation work in the channels. This work includes placing rock for simulating pools and riffles in the channels. De-watering is required for these projects. This includes re-directing the creeks for the duration of the project and installing erosion and pollution control devices during the installation of the new structures and stream simulation work. The contractor shall ensure that ALL in-stream work will be completed within the in-stream work window of July 15th and August 15th, as determined by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. The Government estimated cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. It is estimated that the solicitation will be posted on or around April 17, 2012 and offers will be due, on or around May 17, 2012.

- Address: Project is located approxiamtely 92 miles southeast of Pendleton, OR. and 60 miles southwest of La Grande, OR. From Pendleton, take I-84 East to exit 252 approximately 40 miles. From La Grande, take I-84 West 9 miles to exit 252. From I-84, go south on OR-244 for approximately 12 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road 51 and travel approximately 27 miles south to the intersection of Forest Road 52. Turn left on Forest Road 52 and travel south approximately 1.7 miles. Road will change from Forest Road 52 to Forest Road 73. Continue on Forest Road 73 for 8.6 miles to Forest Road 10. Turn right on Forest Road 10 and travel 1.5 miles to Forest Road 1035 intersection. Turn right and travel 1.3 miles to Ten Cent Crossing. From Ten Cent Crossing, travel northeast on Forest Road 7350 half a mile to the Lower West Ten Cent Crossing. From the Lower West Ten Cent Crossing, travel north on Forest Road 1038 approximately half a mile to the Upper West Ten Cent Crossing., Oregon, United States
