- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. IF YOU ARE A CONTRACTOR INTERESTED IN WORKING ON THE PROJECT DESCRIBED BELOW, PLEASE CONTACT THE COMPANIES LISTED AND EXPRESS YOUR INTEREST IN WORKING AS A SUBCONTRACTOR. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT APOSTLE ISLANDS NATIONAL LAKESHORE STAFF AS THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE YOU WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. APIS PMIS #154596 - "Rehabilitation & Restoration of Michigan, Outer, & Devils Island Light Stations (including Sand and Long Islands)" project located in Bayfield and Ashland Counties, Wisconsin. Project Location: Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, Bayfield Wisconsin. The sites include five islands within the park in Lake Superior: Michigan Island, Outer Island, Devils Island, Sand Island and Long Island. All sites require boats to access. The project sites are the light stations of each island as indicated on the park map (http://www.nps.gov/apis/planyourvisit/upload/APIS-map-07.pdf). The Work consists of the following: - The Work includes rehabilitation of site and structures of the light stations, including but not limited to: landscape restoration, hazardous materials mitigation, roofing, window and door repair, masonry, carpentry, metals work (including light station lantern repair), painting, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. - The Project is not required to be certified through the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System, but it must meet federally-mandated sustainability requirements and must track the sustainability goals for the Project. - The Project will be constructed under a single prime contract, and the National Park Service intends to utilize the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC), which is for Design/Build and Design Bid Build Construction services.
